FAQ

  • I want to shoot rifles but am not sure which one to sign up for?

You would be qualified for the unwerks course if you have a fundamental comfortability with rifles, and can shoot a 2” group at 200 yards. This will prepare you for the long range fundamentals! This course is an extra $500 because we will be capped at 8 women per day. (this shooting school is normally worth $2000-$3000/day) If You are a beginner shooter or intermediate shooter, sign up for the regular rifle course, and we will split you up into two groups, one with Kristy Titus and one with Hannah Kycek based on skill level.

  • Can I bring a truck pop up tent rather than a tent for the ground?

Yes, you can bring any kind of camp you'd like, or camp in your vehicle. Indicate which camp you're planning to bring when you checkout to buy your ticket so that we know how much area you will need.

  • If I can't make it the entire week, can I drop in for a day or two?

You can choose any drop in days to come for just the day, 1-2 days, or even buy just a concert ticket to come hang out with us the last evening. The best bang for your buck is purchasing the whole event with all of the workshops and that includes everything aside from your camp!

  • How do I know if I am a beginner hunter or more advanced?

If you have hunted multiple times, and feel comfortable and fairly confident hunting on your own, you would be prepared for the advanced hunting day. If you aren’t comfortable yet hunting on your own, sign up for the beginner workshop, and we will split up the group with instructors from beginner (never really hunted but want to) and intermediate (have hunted but need more confidence) and tailor it to you!

  • If I dont have the ability to bring my own camp or my own equipment like my own bow, can you provide that?

  • Will there be another event next year if I can't make it this year?

We hope so! Though nothing is guaranteed. We plan on having retreats in coming years, but there is no guarantee as things change year to year!

Stay up to date on @bristolbayretreats Instagram page and dates will be kept updated on this website as well.

  • What if I am a beginner and want to learn?

This is an event for brand new beginners tol advanced. It is for ALL outdoor women ages 16+ who desire to learn and be a part of this event. Check out the workshops and instructors! There is something to learn for everyone, and this is a great place to find unity, connect, and learn from each other as we are all on the same playing field regardless.

  • I want to bring a girl that is almost 16, can I do that?

They must be 16 years of age by June 10, 2024. Otherwise they will have to wait until next year!

  • Do I bring my own guns and ammo?

  • How strong and in shape do I have to be?

“Strength” is a relative term. Your mindset is the most powerful tool. You do not have to be the strongest, baddest, fastest person and at your absolute best to do this. Anyone can do it and it won't be physically demanding.

We have had all ages and stages here! Everyone is welcome as long as you feel you are capable to camp for 5-6 nights.

  • What will I gain from this experience?

Aside from the skills, fun, and memories you gain on this Rendezvous, this is overall a life changing experience and challenge from the first financial investment until the day you leave here. What you learn through challenging yourself and saying YES to an opportunity like this, carries on through your life. You create connections and friendships, you rediscover yourself, you reconnect with the closest people around you, and refocus on what truly matters.

You make the best memories, learn to say yes to the things you want to do, disconnect from the chaos of the world around you, and really truly remember what life is all about.

  • What facilities are guaranteed?

Port- o- potties and hand washing stations will be provided. There will be no electricity or wifi. This is an opportunity to disconnect!

Be prepared for no "Real" showers though we may set up a few rain shower stations if you really need it. There is also a creek nearby.

  • Will there be alcohol?

For your safety, this is a no alcohol event, and nobody can bring their own alcohol. However, we will have a cash bar the last night for the concert by a licensed bar tender of Idaho for our final night celebration if you are of legal age, and choose it.

  • How Many tickets are available?

With the amount of workshops we have arranged, we are planning on 50 tickets. We trust the right women will come to this event! This number may changed as it gets closer based on how workshops are filling, and how we feel we can give you the best experience.

  • Can we go hiking during the free time or are there other free-time activities?

Yes! You can hike, explore, relax, and we will have some camp games set up as well along with campfires and music at night.

  • What is the cancellation/refund policy

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. If for any reason there is an emergency or someone cannot make a retreat, your deposit can be applied to a future retreat, but this must be arranged with Tana.

We understand that life happens and there may be reasons you have to cancel. You can receive a refund aside from the $500 deposit. If you purchase a drop in day and have to cancel, $250 is non refundable. It costs a lot to secure instructors and buy supplies for each workshop so we need ample time to know our numbers 1 month before everyone arrives.

This is a life changing experience & opportunity to commit and challenge yourself mentally to do hard things. The first step to that is committing to yourself, mentally and financially to this experience, and not allow your mind to talk you out of it.

  • When is the full payment due?

The full payment is due by May 15 2024. This ensures ample time to buy supplies and plan food!
